We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Quantity Surveyor for our client who is a multi-industry leader in the furnishing and engineering business and focuses on General building and Civil Construction, Property Development, Electrical and Fire Safety Engineering, and providing Interior Designs for residential, commercial, and industrial markets worldwide. You have to ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cost estimate, cost planning, cost management time scales for material and labour

• Allocating work to subcontractors and overseeing their work at all stages of the construction

• Analyzing terms and conditions in the contract.

• Predicting potential risks in the project and taking precautions to mitigate such.

• Forecasting the costs of different materials needed for the project.

• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, and other documentation, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client

• Take note of changes made and adjust the budget accordingly.

• Tender management includes the preparation of bills of quantities, contract conditions, and assembly of tender documents

• Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards

• Valuing completed work, managing budgets, and overseeing payments

• Advising on the maintenance costs of specific buildings

• Lifecycle costing analysis

• Providing post-occupancy advice, facilities management services, and life cycle costing advice

• Advising on the maintenance costs of specific buildings.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• BSc in Construction, Project Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, quantity surveyor a related field of study

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor

• Expert knowledge of construction costs and contracts.
