Job Description

The BDM is a key position within our client's organization; working closely with senior management, the individual will be primarily responsible for growing the business by developing relationships with current and prospective customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pitching products and services

  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing partners and customers

  • Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets

  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing

  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings

  • Working closely with the team to ensure high level of continuity throughout the core business

  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations, tenders and sales displays

  • Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products

  • Developing sites with suitable grid capacity

  • Negotiating lease agreements and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person

  • Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met

Skills and Competencies

  • Creative talents, innovative self- starter and the ability to negotiate and solve tough problems

  • Superior presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

  • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations

  • Attention to detail, commercially orientated

  • Excellent time management, organization and presentation skills

Education and Quaification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/ Sales or other relevant field

  • A minimum of 5 years experience within Commercial Real Estate is the top priority – lease negotiation and existing network of contacts
