BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Job Description
The BDM is a key position within our client's organization; working closely with senior management, the individual will be primarily responsible for growing the business by developing relationships with current and prospective customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Pitching products and services
Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing partners and customers
Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
Working closely with the team to ensure high level of continuity throughout the core business
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Preparing PowerPoint presentations, tenders and sales displays
Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
Developing sites with suitable grid capacity
Negotiating lease agreements and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
Skills and Competencies
Creative talents, innovative self- starter and the ability to negotiate and solve tough problems
Superior presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills
The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
Attention to detail, commercially orientated
Excellent time management, organization and presentation skills
Education and Quaification
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/ Sales or other relevant field
A minimum of 5 years experience within Commercial Real Estate is the top priority – lease negotiation and existing network of contacts
