Quality and Technical Support Manager

​We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Quality and Technical Support Manager for our client who is a global, multi-industry leader in the manufacturing and sale of high-performance cement that complies with local standards which is for residential, commercial and industrial purpose. 

Insuring the conformity of the products and raw materials at all levels of the production process and provide production with the optimized parameters for consistent quality of the products at minimal costs.

Provide necessary assistance to the Commercial department to assure customers and end users satisfaction.


General Responsibilities

  • Respects and enforces the Organization's Code of Conduct and the various management procedures.

  • Develop and monitor your process and activities through the implementation of the safety, health quality, and environment management system.

  • Ensure and contribute to the monitoring of the safety, health, quality and environment management system.

  • Specific Responsibilities

  • 1) Laboratory and Quality

  • Supervising the quality control on the raw materials, on the semi-finished products and on the finished products;

  • Verifying the obtained results, analysing and diagnosing the non – conformities and proposing a plan of actions for correction;

  • Insuring an optimal mix product in accordance with the constraints of production, of quality and of costs;

  • Insuring the control and the conformity of the raw materials with regard to the contracts;

  • Supervising the control of the analysis devices in order to comply with the standards and supervising the calibration and the verification (spectrometer, laser, press, the mixer…)

  • Drawing up the procedures and quality plan for the laboratory;

  • Drawing up the daily reports and the monthly reports; 

  • Sending the quality flash to the operations services;

  • Drawing up the planning of internal and external verification of the material;

  • Managing the new projects of certification, and insuring the maintenance of the certifications obtained;

  • Creating the purchasing requests (products for laboratory, LPEE.);

  • Preparing the service budget;

  • Managing the laboratory team by insuring their training, evaluation and the progress of their competence;

  • Applying and enforcing the rules of safety and hygiene at the laboratory.

  • 2 ) Technical Support

  • Ensure fluent coordination between Technical and Commercial Departments

  • In charge of Concrete Laboratory: maintenance, testing, reporting

  • Follow up of KPI’s to monitor cement products performances through concrete tests

  • Perform all the concrete tests to report on the consistency of company products and detect the significant variation which may affect company sales.

  • Benchmark company products with competitors’ products through concrete mix.

  • Advice on how customers should use company products and issue a related marketing documents in collaboration with the sales and marketing In-charge.

  • Update customer’s files as per concrete tests results.

  • Participate on the complaint analysis and follow up

  • Establish weekly and monthly reports with analysis of current situation Vs targets along with Action Plans when required

  • Participate to Marketing, commercial and Technical meeting when required.

  • Be in permanent link with company cement laboratory to collect the needed information to perform the concrete laboratory work

  • Participate at the annual training program for marketing and commercial team members

  • Initiate closely with marketing and commercial team commercial workshops with customers to promote company products

  • Ensure full support to the commercial team

  • Be a support provider to the team with respect to any coordination and/or follow up that may be required from time to time

  • Safety, Security, Quality system, Environment and Social responsibilities:

  • Comply with all policies, work instructions and procedures of the Integrated Management System (Quality, Safety, Security, Environment and Social) adopted by the company.    

  • Frame works, Boundaries and Decision-making authority:

  • Will perform such functions as instructed and advised. 

  • Will receive direction and instruction from the Director for activities related to targets.

  • Communications & Working relationships:

  • Reports to Sales and Marketing Director and will interact with all company members and external agencies and customers as required.

  • Ensure fluent coordination between Technical and Commercial departments.


  • Master’s degree in Chemistry and Physics/ Civil or chemical Engineering

  • Minimum 10 years in a chemical laboratory in the construction materials sector.

  •  Minimum 5 years in cement or construction industry.

  •  Minimum 3 years in concrete or cement laboratory
