Role Purpose

The role of the Accountant is to ensure that our clients make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company's finances. He will be responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (Balance sheets and Income statements)

  • Manage tax payments

  • Organize internal audits

  • Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)

  • Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies

  • Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments

  • Analyze financial trends

  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes

  • Must assist in Audit Practices Internally & externally

  • Performs cost and other financial analyses to identify areas that can improve efficiency of resources and operations

  • Highly motivated, seasoned professional able to function with minimal supervision and across multiple procurement disciplines, in partnership with all levels of the organization

Qualifications and Competencies

  • BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant work/industry/job specific experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential job duties

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software ie. Tally

  • In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures

  • Solid knowledge of accounting & Statutory laws & other applicable regulations in Ghana

  • Time-management abilities & Confidentiality
